Small businesses are finding loans are scarce and are looking to other sources of financing such as crowdfunding. One example is EarlyShares, which is similar to Kickstarter but funds companies instead of projects. The Securities and Exchange Commission still has to finalize regulations for more investors to participate. Small businesses should also consider lease financing for equipment and vehicle purchases.
